About Dashing Paws

Hi, I’m Naomi, the proud owner of Dashing Paws.

I'm not your average CEO of a company (I'm usually covered in dog hair, slobber and wearing muddy boots). I can however, pride myself on how much I love my job!

The journey of Dashing Paws began in 2019 and I can admit, it hasn't been an easy one. I had been desperate to leave my job in retail for years but I didn't quite know how to become a full time dog walker. I was scared! I started desperately trying to figure out a way to escape.

My plan to start my own adventure was halted when the UK went in to a national lockdown, with no households mixing and only essential travel. What do I do now!? I spent weeks researching, studying, learning and reading all about dogs.

I knew I had to do everything I could.

I volunteered to help walk peoples dogs who couldn't and that was when I realised I HAVE to make this happen. I've always dreamed I'd be in a job where I can help others (animals in particular) and while tirelessly working other jobs alongside dog walking, it set my passion more alight to solely do what I love, but I had to work hard to get there first.

Walking a few dogs a day to begin with, stacking shelves in the evening and working full weekends to make my dream come true, finally I was able to go full time with Dashing Paws. I couldn't be more proud! Blood, sweat and many tears shed, it's all been worth it.

In case you haven’t guessed it, I really do love dogs.

Mum to a one year old human, two miniature dachshunds and a crazy cat lady (don’t worry I only have one) I know all about busy lives.

Being able to offer dog walking at affordable prices which can help reduce stress for owners who are unable to do so throughout the day was why I created Dashing Paws. It just so happens that I'm pursuing a career in something I’m passionate about and I get to spend time with these lovely animals too!

With qualifications in dog socialisation, obedience, training including canine behaviour, psychology and nutrition, I know as well as anyone, how important it is for your pet to be fully looked after whilst in someone else's hands.
